In this data-driven investigation, we analyzed over 250,000 Github pull requests from public GitHub repositories to understand the nature and patterns of code conflicts across different programming languages and project types. By examining real-world merge scenarios, we uncovered insights about which languages tend to experience more conflicts, what types of code changes most frequently lead to conflicts, and how project size and team dynamics influence conflict rates.
